Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a remote field service technician to install, maintain and troubleshoot turbomachinery and package systems at customer sites. Qualified applicants must reside in Minnesota, Iowa or Missouri to support local customers.
You will diagnose with test equipment and schematics, perform routine installations, adjustments and preventive maintenance under supervision, and ensure safety. The role offers travel, a company truck, comprehensive benefits and ongoing career
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience desired.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs.
- Proactive and action-oriented approach to job responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose malfunctions with test equipment guided by schematics and instructions.
- Use hand tools, gauges and instruments to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts; use digital tools.
- Observe for issues like dirty components; perform cleaning and lubrication under supervision.
- Perform routine installations and make adjustments within normal procedures.
