Caterpillar Inc. seeks a field service engineer to install, maintain and troubleshoot turbomachinery and package systems at customer sites.

You will diagnose faults using diverse test equipment, consult schematics, and perform repairs under supervision, ensuring safe, reliable operation. This is a remote role limited to applicants residing in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania or West Virginia to support the local customer base.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Service excellence and customer service skills.
• Initiative and proactive work approach.
• Problem solving in organizational or process contexts.
• Mechanical maintenance knowledge for power plants.
• Oil and gas mechanical maintenance knowledge.
• Safety knowledge for oil and gas operations.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and consult schematics.
• Use hand tools and instruments to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts.
• Observe common causes of trouble and perform preventive maintenance.
