Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking a Field Service Tech to support cryogenic equipment installations and maintenance from home-office (US) with extensive field travel. You will perform on-site service, welding, troubleshooting, reports, and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in field service, Tig welding and piping experience, and strong ability to read electrical/plumbing schematics. A technical diploma in welding/maintenance is required, with MS Office and JD Edwards familiarity

Qualifications

• Technical diploma/certification in welding, maintenance, or related field.
• Experience with Tig welding and piping preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interactions.
• Ability to read electrical/plumbing schematics is preferred.
• Team player with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, high-quality service to customers by phone or on-site.
• Coordinate with management on customer communication.
• Prepare detailed service reports.
• Maintain tools and test equipment for commissioning/service.
• Coordinate and perform testing, log results as required.
• Read and understand electrical/plumbing schematics for troubleshooting.
• Weld using MIG and/or TIG in field conditions.
• Install equipment including bulk tanks, pipe, vaporizers, skids, dosers.
• Adhere to ISO 9000 standards and safety procedures.
• Observe safety policies and wear PPE.
