Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking a Field Service Tech to provide service, training, and technical support for cryogenic equipment, including mobile units at the Chart–New Prague, MN facility.

Expect extensive travel (roughly 80% to 100%), welding (MIG/TIG), and the ability to read electrical and plumbing schematics. You will install, test, and report outcomes while adhering to ISO 9000 and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in welding, maintenance, or automotive/diesel/heavy equipment related field.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to answer customer questions.
• Reading electrical and plumbing schematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, quality service to the customer via phone or site visits.
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintain tools and test equipment.
• Troubleshoot control systems and weld using MIG/TIG in field conditions.
• Install equipment including bulk tanks, pipe, vaporizers, skids, and dosers; read and follow schematics.
• Adhere to ISO 9000 standards and safety procedures; travel to customer sites as required.
