Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking an independent, results-oriented technician to provide service, training and technical support for cryogenic applications including mobile units. The role requires strong welding skills, reading electrical and plumbing diagrams, and the ability to perform on-site field service with safety as a priority.

Travel is extensive, up to 80–100% at times, with a mix of outdoor/indoor work and potential weekends.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in welding, maintenance or related field.
• Strong ability to read electrical and plumbing schematics and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with field service, maintenance or industrial repair is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, high-quality service to customers by phone or on-site visits.
• Coordinate with the manager on customer communications and reporting.
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintain tools and test equipment.
• Coordinate and perform testing and report results; follow instructions.
• Adhere to safety procedures and contractual service agreements.
• Weld using MIG and/or TIG in field conditions and install equipment as required.
