Job summary

Pregis is hiring a Field Service Technician to install, repair and maintain Pregis Packaging and Sharp Systems, with travel across North America. The role combines hands-on service, in-field demonstrations, and preventive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.

Reporting to the Field Services Manager, you will communicate with customers and internal teams, complete service documentation, manage parts inventory, and mentor junior staff when needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a 2-year college is preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Mechanical assembly skills and ability to read blueprints, manuals, and electrical schematics.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills with electrical aptitude.
• Excellent communication with customers at all levels.
• Ability to work with little supervision and strong time management.
• Valid driving record; company car provided.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-field support and optimize material delivery systems.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and monitor equipment.
• Conduct hands-on demonstrations and end-user training on procedures.
• Troubleshoot film, consumable, and machinery issues; generate quality control reports.
• Ensure timely completion of service-related documentation.
• Perform system inspections and advise clients on proactive measures.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned products.
• Maintain inventory records for parts and tools; document work.
• Coordinate field testing of new products and updates; deliver reports.
• Travel within North America as needed; support other locations.
