Job summary

Siemens Mobility in the United States is seeking a CS Application Engineer who can work remotely and reports to the HQ in Wendell, NC. You will collaborate with BDMs and cross-functional teams to craft technical and commercial field service proposals, review customer specifications, and help shape bid documents through LOA and CRM processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years engineering/project management/field service experience in transmission and/or distribution products.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, writing and presentation skills to communicate with internal and external contacts.
• History of measurable goal-driven success.
• Experience working in a multicultural team environment.

Responsibilities

• Create technical and commercial field service proposals with a focus on hyperscale program customers.
• Review and mark-up of customer’s technical specifications.
• Collaborate with Siemens Regional and Product Business Development, other sales channels, and other Application Engineers on proposals, projects and opportunities.
• Coordinate activities during the preparation of proposal documents describing technical, financial and legal aspects of the offer.
• Cost calculation for service scope of supply.
• Participation in bid preparation, scope, schedule, budget and division of responsibilities between team members.
• Prepare all proposal documents including official LoA documents.
• Support sales managers during negotiations and clarifications.
• Keep track of all opportunities via Siemens CRM tools.
• CRM and LOA processes are key requirements and metrics for accurate pipeline management and bid approval process.
• Ensure that all relevant project information, documentation and communication are handed over to project execution organization after contract award.
• Handover to project organization according to PM@Siemens guidelines.
• Participate in improvement of sales tools, processes and procedures to establish 'best in class' bidding processes.
