Job summary

Leybold USA Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and service vacuum pumps and related equipment across a designated territory.

This role is customer-facing and revenue-generating with a strong focus on aftermarket sales, technical support, and relationship building. The position requires an associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, with at least 2 years of field service experience preferred and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of field service experience preferred.
• Background in automotive or mechanical repair/assembly.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain Leybold vacuum systems and equipment.
• Promote and sell spare parts, service repairs, and aftermarket solutions.
• Collaborate with account managers to identify and penetrate new accounts.
• Provide technical advice, training, and support to customers.
• Maintain detailed records of site visits and follow-up activities.
• Assist in product qualifications and installations.
• Recommend products/services tailored to customer needs.
• Support sales channels with technical expertise.
• Train and mentor additional field service staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
