Job summary

Instron is seeking a highly motivated field service professional. This role is home-based in the Greater Chicago area, with travel to Milwaukee and other US locations to verify, maintain, repair, and install Instron testing systems.

You will receive a company vehicle, tools, laptop, cell phone, and MI-FI, supporting a regional service footprint in Wisconsin and Illinois. The ideal candidate will hold a two- or four-year technical degree, with knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, blueprints,

Qualifications

Two- or four-year technical degree from an accredited institution required.
Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret basic technical information.
Familiarity with electro–mechanical systems, blueprints and schematics, and PC software.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to perform service, maintenance, repair and installation of Instron products.
Operate from home in Greater Chicago, IL, serving Milwaukee, WI area with up to 40% overnight travel.
Provide verification and preventive maintenance on a wide range of products.
Maintain autonomy with strong organizational and customer service skills.
Utilize provided company vehicle and tools to complete service visits.
