Job summary

Segra is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Lynchburg, VA to manage telecom network equipment installation, commissioning, circuit turn-up, testing, and maintenance with on-call duties. The role involves working with various telecom gear and coordinating with customers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of Cisco/Ciena equipment and at least two years of telecom equipment experience, plus a background in power, network devices, and industry test sets.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with telecom equipment.
• Knowledge of Cisco and/or Ciena equipment preferred.
• AC/DC core fundamentals; good driving record; Office 365 suite.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission telecom equipment.
• Turn-up and testing of circuits/nodes.
• Configure and manage customer premise equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Perform on-call duties as required.
• Interact with customers, service technicians, and support personnel.
