Job summary

Quality Vision International seeks a Field Service Engineer for a remote, field-based role supporting QVI metrology products across North America. This full-time travel position requires hands-on installation, calibration and repair experience with strong customer-service skills.

Occasional international travel is rare; primary travel is domestic. Location preference includes major Southeast hubs, with proximity to Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham or Greenville metro areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of technical field service experience or similar military calibration/repair background.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience using precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and manuals; knowledge of control systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive service dispatch instructions identifying product, customer, issue and timing.
• Contact customer to confirm location and timing for arrival.
• Arrange and book travel and arrive on-site with tools to begin work.
• Maintain contact with HQ and customer on progress; complete service reports and logs.
• Identify upgrade opportunities and communicate leads to home office.
• Demonstrate initiative for training needs and communicate with manager.
