Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a remote role servicing customers in the Louisville, KY area. You will install, maintain, and repair analytical instruments, provide troubleshooting and warranty services, and collaborate with customers on workflows within a distributed service network.

Qualifications

• Requires travel up to 75% of the time; territory includes KY, OH, IN with focus Cincinnati and Louisville.
• Travel may be up to 75% depending on territory requirements.
• Valid driver's license required and ability to drive/plane as needed.
• Experience repairing laboratory equipment.
• Must be able to work in controlled lab environments and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, validate and repair instrumentation at customer site.
• Provide troubleshooting and warranty services within time frames.
• Communicate service offerings including training, software, and lab services.
• Partner with customers to understand their analytical workflow.
• Adhere to installation, warranty, and service agreement documentation standards.
• Contribute to account profitability through efficient service delivery.
• Upload/download service data to ensure integrity of service systems.
• Maintain tools and service parts inventory.
• Develop technical and soft skills; report improvement opportunities via QA processes.
• Complete administrative tasks including time reporting and training.
