Job summary

Honeywell Technologies seeks a Field Service Engineer I to perform maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and configuration of complex Honeywell control systems. You will travel up to 80% from multiple US locations, with stays of up to two weeks, while delivering expert technical support and ensuring uninterrupted industrial processes.

You will collaborate with the Field Service Manager, develop customer relationships, and contribute to successful technology migrations and upgrades across EXPERION

Qualifications

• 4 years of professional experience in a related field such as field service, technical operations, industrial maintenance, process automation, heavy manufacturing, prior military experience, development and/or reliability engineering.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time – up to 2 weeks away from home at once (VA, NC, TN)
• Ability to obtain multiple L3 certifications within 18 months

Responsibilities

• Periodic communication with customers regarding technical and administrative issues
• Provide customer support on Honeywell Control Systems and serve as a customer contact for service-related issues and enquiries
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Honeywell hardware/software issues including Experion PKS and other DCS hardware/software such as LCN & TPS
• Upgrade Experion software from one release to another on live control systems without causing interruption to customer’s industrial process
• Migrate legacy Honeywell control systems to Honeywell’s new technology offerings
• Understand customer key processes and economic drivers to translate those into business opportunities while providing timely research and recommendations
• Assist Sales during sales pursuits and represent Honeywell to end-users
• Learn the end-to-end product/solution development, delivery, and execution of Honeywell products and solutions
• Use technical expertise in sophisticated Honeywell solutions and product offerings to improve customer experience
