Job summary

GE HealthCare in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Field Engineer I to perform on-time preventive maintenance across modalities and assist with installation and troubleshooting. You will learn from experienced engineers, communicate with customers, and contribute to customer satisfaction while supporting account relationships.

The role offers relocation assistance and a remote work option, with a 2nd shift schedule and a pay range of $60,000 to $90,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent military education or GE internship
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs and/or ISIs.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment.
• Effectively communicate with teammates, colleagues and customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
• Recommend value-added services to help customers run their business more efficiently.
• Maintain service logs and internal records, order parts, manage cycle times.
• Follow GEHC escalation process and work with support to resolve issues promptly.
• Engage with accounts and identify sales leads; assist with renewals and revenue programs.
• Prioritize customer needs and build strong customer relationships.
• Keep up with competitor information and market trends.
• Answer service calls independently within one year of employment.

Education

Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering

Military education or internship program

High School + 4+ years service experience
