Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 to perform timely Preventative Maintenance across multiple modalities. You will learn troubleshooting, repair and installation techniques while collaborating with experienced engineers onsite and remotely to deliver service excellence.

Responsibilities include completing PMs, assisting with equipment installation, basic troubleshooting, communicating with customers, maintaining service records, and identifying opportunities for value-added

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering or related field, OR equivalent military education, OR GEHC internship/externship program; OR HS diploma with 4+ years of electronics service experience.
• Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office suite.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to be available after hours or on-call including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventive Maintenance, FMIs and ISIs.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment.
• Communicate effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
• Partner with the customer and recommend value-added services to improve business operations.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and manage cycle times.
• Engage GEHC escalation process and collaborate with regional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to account community for key accounts and identify sales opportunities when appropriate.
