Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Arizona is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to deliver technical expertise supporting field startups for standard and custom switchgear systems.

You will handle warranty claims, perform remedial repairs, and support preventive maintenance contracts within your territory. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET), at least 2 years of related experience, and PLC/HMI system knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience reading electrical schematics/blueprints and with switchgear/ATS.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, preventive maintenance, testing, repair on generator paralleling controls and switchgear.
• Travel up to 75% to support field startups and service contracts.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues and train staff.
