Job summary

EMPIRE in Prescott, AZ seeks a field service technician to troubleshoot, repair, recondition and maintain generators, switchgear, ATS, electrical systems, engines and components in field environments, potentially including hyperscale data centers. Travel to remote locations, extended overnight stays, and clear communication with associates, clients and management are essential.

CDL not required; safety policies must be followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and current driver’s license.
• DOT licensing, medical card, and endorsements as vehicle size dictates.
• Must be able to communicate in English (spoken and written).
• Minimum of 6 months related experience.
• Completion of TRAIN test evaluation.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain CDL if required by state or federal law.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Maintain good client relations and support for corporate marketing objectives.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Maintain company equipment – keep in good clean orderly condition.
• Work overtime as needed; travel to remote locations.
