Job summary

Pacific Biosciences is looking for an Engineer II, Field Service based in Washington. This position involves providing on-site support for cutting-edge DNA sequencing technology, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer facilities.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 1-3 years with a Master's; or 0-2 years with a PhD.
• Minimum of two to five years servicing complex electromechanical/chemical equipment.
• Knowledge of biochemistry, biology and/or other life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair PacBio equipment at customer locations.
• Submit timely documentation of service activities and expenses.
• Mentor and train new service engineers.
