Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to support Power Technique North America in the Northeast region. You will diagnose and repair diesel-driven compressors, generators, and tools, and you’ll build trusted customer relationships on site while selling service work.

This role requires 3+ years’ field service experience, diesel engine diagnostics, and the ability to travel extensively (up to 80%). A valid driver’s license and safety-conscious approach are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years of service on major equipment/engines.
• Experience with diesel engines, including electronic engine diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams and engine fault codes.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel-driven compressors, generators, and tools.
• Explain repair needs, risks, and benefits to customers in business terms.
• Prepare and present clear service quotes and close service opportunities.
• Sell repair, overhaul, and preventative maintenance work.
