Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair air compressors and related equipment. You will install and pipe compressor systems, travel within a defined radius, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

You must have 1–2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance or electrical fields, a high school diploma, English fluency, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance or electrical fields.
• Experience with maintenance, overhaul and repair of industrial equipment including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; EPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low pressure blowers.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
• Absorb higher learning including VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
• Pressure wash and clean equipment pads.
• Communicate with customer and Service Manager regarding services and options.
• Fill out all service-related documentation (service reports, startup forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, parts return documents).
• Attend training at Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians.
• Promote and practice safety procedures and PPE.
• Provide high level customer service and respond to customer needs.
• Participate in rotating 24/7/365 on-call with travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel.
• Subject to random drug testing.
