Job summary

Sartorius, a growing global life science company, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide timely service and support for Bioprocess products in the Northeast. The role covers MA, RI, CT, NH, ME, VT with travel to Ontario/Quebec and beyond as needed.

Base salary $90,000–$100,000 plus bonus and car allowance, with up to 70% travel and lifting requirements. Remote-based with commuting distance to Greater Boston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic discipline
• 3+ years Field Service experience (preferably in Biopharmaceutical)
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 accreditation and GMP/GDP
• Valid Driver's License and Passport
• Strong problem-solving and math/science abilities
• Willingness to travel up to 70% and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, preventive maintenance and break-fix repairs across a range of systems.
• Maintain fault-finding data and feedback product performance data to customers and internal teams.
• Perform in-house service activities in the Delaware office as needed.
• Follow service procedures to keep customer information and software up to date.
• Keep records of time, expenses and work performed.
• Make independent repair decisions based on SLAs and contracts.
• Collaborate with Product Support, Customer Support and Hardware Resource Coordinator to escalate issues.
• Travel up to 70% to support field service.
• LIFTING: lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently.
• Perform other related duties as required.
