East Penn Manufacturing Company is seeking a Field Support Engineer to identify and execute greenfield, replacement, maintenance and large-scale warranty battery system projects across North America. The role includes oversight, monitoring, and troubleshooting on installations and advancing warranty administration and inside sales support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• 5–7 years in a supervisory/management or senior professional role focusing on field service engineering/project management.
• Experience with DC power systems, electrical and battery systems, warranties, lead-acid batteries, packaging/palletizing.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate technical information to determine and propose East Penn battery products and accessories.
• Identify full spectrum of products and services needed to quote new projects.
• Coordinate with customer engineers to verify equipment requirements, sizing, schematics, and measurements.
• Perform site surveys and field measurements to support coordination.
• Review submittal documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Confirm availability of products and materials and schedule installations.
• Manage project execution (installation, maintenance, testing) on-site.
• Monitor on-site installation processes, assist and troubleshoot as needed.
• Provide direction to service contractors for on-site work.
• Ensure field services meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with customer project engineers/managers and East Penn teams to resolve issues.
• Attend/lead coordination meetings with service contractors and customers.
• Create/modify processes that add value to Deka Services results.
• Respond promptly to emergency service requests and changing project conditions.
• Prepare close-out packages and detailed reports for customers.
