Job summary

East Penn Manufacturing Company seeks an Industrial Service Technician to install, maintain, and service industrial battery systems at customer sites in the Columbus, OH region. The role involves daily customer visits, a company service vehicle, and time to restock parts for service vehicles.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, work well independently, and possess strong mechanical and electrical skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate resides in the Greater Columbus, Ohio area.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Strong mechanical ability and electrical knowledge; AC/DC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and service industrial batteries, chargers and charging equipment at customer sites.
• Travel daily to customer locations within the Columbus area.
• Service territory covers the Greater Columbus, OH area.
• Reports to Service Manager based out of Miamisburg, OH.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Evaluate battery and charging equipment.
• On-site repairs of batteries and chargers.
• Document fleet by type, amp hour, repairs, recommendations, billing, and repairs.
• Maintain regular attendance and overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested by Management.
