Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Field Technical Specialist to act as a key field-based technical resource for roofing warranty and workmanship programs. You will conduct post-job walks, evaluate workmanship, and document findings, while providing technical support to contractors and customers.

The role requires strong roofing expertise, independent work capability, and excellent communication. This is a remote, national position with up to 75% travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must safely access steep-slope roofs and perform inspections.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry ladders/equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally with up to 75%+ travel.
• Experience conducting field inspections and documenting findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, post-job walks, and evaluate workmanship.
• Document inspection findings accurately according to standards.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and customers.
• Support warranty and workmanship programs.
• Deliver contractor training and field demonstrations.
• Collaborate with Field Technical & Quality Assurance, Customer Solutions, and Sales.
