Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Technical Development Rep (Associate) to lead precommercial field research for Loveland Products and support the LPI sales network. The role involves developing protocols, coordinating studies with contractors and universities, and translating findings into marketing content. The position requires an M.S.

(Ph.D. preferred) in agronomy or related fields, strong data skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% while working from a home office.

Qualifications

• MS degree or higher in agronomy, soil science, crop science, horticulture, plant pathology, entomology, weed science or related discipline.
• Experience designing, conducting, evaluating and analyzing agricultural field research.
• Strong data management and interpretation skills for field trials.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical project leadership with a primary focus on Loveland Products innovation.
• Lead precommercial protocol development and experimental design aligned with LPI objectives.
• Establish and maintain an applied field research program with contractors and universities.
• Validate, analyze, and summarize field data with statistical methods and summaries.
• Convert data into marketing content, highlighting placement, performance and value of new products.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for product advancement decisions.
• Collaborate with LPI Sales for knowledge transfer and training to retail staff.
• Monitor and assess 3rd party technologies to fill portfolio gaps.
• Distribute knowledge for current and future users.
• Lead Nutrien Way initiatives including SH&E compliance and Culture of Care.
