Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Provider Engagement Specialist to support our expanding Merced/Stanislaus County network. This field-based role requires building strong physician practice partnerships, improving quality metrics, and guiding providers through Alignment Health tools and incentives.

You’ll travel about 80% across Merced/Stanislaus County, CA, with the flexibility of a self-managed schedule. Initial training may occur with a Raleigh, NC market team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in provider relations, network development, or healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with providers and office staff.
• Partner with providers to improve growth, retention, and quality metrics.
• Educate providers on Alignment Health tools, incentives, and care model requirements.
• Develop training materials and educational presentations for providers.
• Serve as primary contact for provider issues including UM, prior authorizations, claims, and directory validation.
• Represent Alignment Health at provider meetings and community events.
• Support provider credentialing and recruitment efforts.
• Maintain provider engagement documentation and meeting records.
