Job summary

State Farm in Spokane, WA seeks a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle on-site inspections for homeowners, commercial properties, and large losses. You will meet insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process while delivering remarkable service.

As a remote-field role with potential travel, you will service the Spokane region and collaborate with agents and policyholders to resolve claims efficiently, using technology to support field work

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately.
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply them in practical situations.
• Ability to interact with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to move claims forward.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for handling emotional conversations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with mobile/desktop tools to document claims in the field and remotely.
• Physical agility for lifting, climbing ladders, roofs, and tight spaces.
• May require Rope and Harness Safety Training.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
• Meet insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process with service.
• Provide ongoing customer service throughout the claims process.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support claims.
• Investigate and adjust property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and terms to determine claim validity and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits per policy provisions.
