Job summary

National General Holdings Corp. is seeking a Field Property Adjuster to manage homeowners claims from start to finish in the Austin area. You will conduct inspections, prepare estimates, review supplements, handle contents and ALE, and negotiate settlements with customers, contractors, and partners.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer‑focused, able to multitask, and has field and desk experience. Active adjuster license or reciprocal eligibility and Xactimate proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed adjuster or eligible for reciprocal license
• Experience with Xactimate
• Residence within 20 miles of Austin, TX

Responsibilities

• Understands the content of all policy types written by the company
• Creates or audits estimates of damages on first-party homeowner losses with complexity
• Builds mastered relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines
• Evaluates settlement options by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities across multiple lines
