Job summary

Greatjob is seeking a Field HR Manager to align people strategies with business goals in a remote-capable Midwest role. You’ll partner with management, lead HR programs, and drive employee relations and retention across designated units.

The role requires deep knowledge of HR disciplines, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 50% for acquisitions, with a focus on compliance and organizational design in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for acquisition integration.
• Working knowledge of compensation, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
• SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
• Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts thorough investigations.
• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management.
• Works closely with management to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Provides guidance and input on organizational design, workforce planning and succession planning.
• Identifies training needs for business units and executive coaching needs.
• Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs.
