Job summary

UL Solutions seeks a Fire Equipment Service Engineer to perform NFPA certification testing on Fire Apparatus aerial devices and ground ladders, with field evaluations using NDT methods. Travel up to 50% is required; remote options in Central NJ/South Plainfield area may be considered.

You will analyze results, verify equipment, and communicate with manufacturers and customers to ensure UL compliance and safety. Strong mechanical/electrical skills and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• AAS in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) required.
• ASNT Level II or higher certification required; current.
• Familiarity with emergency vehicles or hydraulic equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with clients.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform NFPA certification testing on Fire Equipment Apparatus and Ground Ladders.
• Conduct field evaluations using NDT methods and report data accurately.
• Analyze examination and test results against UL requirements.
• Communicate with manufacturers, customers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
• Maintain logs for scheduling inspections and expenses.
