Job summary

UL Solutions on-site with customers to ensure continued compliance with UL requirements. This Fire Equipment Service Engineer role conducts NFPA certification testing on aerial devices, ground ladders and fire apparatus, including NDT methods and field evaluations.

The candidate must travel up to 50% and have strong communication skills. AAS in NDT and ASNT Level II are required, with a preference for familiarity with emergency vehicles and related equipment.

Qualifications

• AAS in NDT required.
• ASNT Level II or higher certification required and current.
• Familiarity with large emergency vehicles or hydraulic equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and evaluates examination and test results against applicable requirements.
• Uses technical judgment to assess noncompliance variations and acceptability of alternatives.
• Interprets test results and verifies manufacturer equipment calibration and records.
