Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Fire Equipment Service Engineer to perform NFPA certification testing on fire apparatus and ladders, including field evaluations and NDT methods. The role requires travel and strong communication with customers, while maintaining precise data and calendar logs.

The candidate must hold an AAS in NDT and ASNT Level II or higher, with additional CP 189/SNT-TC-1A credentials a plus. Safety and compliance remain a priority in all duties.

Qualifications

• AAS in NDT required.
• ASNT Level II or higher certification required and current.
• Familiarity with large emergency or commercial vehicles is a plus.
• CP 189 or SNT-TC-1A certification a plus.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical ability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate examination and test results against requirements.
• Audit customer quality management or assurance programs as needed.
• Interacts with manufacturers and customers to conduct non-safety and safety certification inspections.
• Use UL equipment to perform inspections and document results.
• Travel up to 50% and work in remote or field environments.
• Maintain logs and perform calculations across engineering disciplines.
