Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Field Engineering professional for home-based positions in the Chicago area, with flexibility for other locations based on experience. You will independently manage engineering projects, develop UL requirements, test methods, and equipment for complex products.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering/technology degree, has expert NEC/building codes knowledge, and 8+ years of directly related field experience, with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technology degree from an accredited university.
• Expert knowledge of Building Codes, NEC, Field evaluations, conformity standards and the NEC.
• Eight years of directly related experience.

If you have:

• An engineering/technology degree from an accredited university
• Expert knowledge of Building Codes, NEC, Field evaluations, conformity standards and the NEC
• Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise, including application to complex, new, or modified products in the field
• Experienced with the utilization of Electrical Test Equipment. Experienced with conducting electrical tests on products.
• A working knowledge of industry issues, needs, and problems
• Eight years of directly related experience
