Job summary

Maryland Energy Advisors is seeking a Field Project Coordinator in Cambridge, MD to inspect and coordinate utility energy efficiency projects across the DPL territory. You will be the on-site representative, engaging customers, service providers, and internal teams to move projects from submittal to completion with a focus on quality and compliance.

The role emphasizes field work, strong communication, and the ability to travel regularly within the service area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Communications, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or related field (equivalent experience may substitute 1:1).
• Must reside within the DPL service territory on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
• At least 2 years of professional work experience, preferably in energy efficiency or utility programs.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel regularly within the DPL territory.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment.
• Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of commercial and small business energy efficiency programs with a focus on on-site inspections.
• Conduct on-site inspections and verification to confirm eligibility, installation quality, and compliance with program specs.
• Serve as the primary field-facing representative, explaining program offerings and requirements to customers and trade partners.
• Provide project coordination support from application through completion, including reviewing docs and tracking inspection outcomes.
• Coordinate with external program staff to support intake, scheduling, documentation review, and issue resolution.
• Offer day-to-day field support to subcontractors, clarifying program rules and escalating issues as needed.
• Support onboarding and ongoing engagement of subcontractors, reinforcing expectations and documentation.
• Maintain organized program documentation and inspection records ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support program execution.
