Job summary

MCHAP is seeking Chaplains to serve company employees and their families, delivering spiritual support across client sites and remotely. This role emphasizes compassionate listening, confidential conversations, and ministry activities aligned with Christian faith, in a flexible, variable-hours environment.

Requirements include cultural sensitivity, strong communication, and the ability to work in interfaith settings.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and in an interfaith setting.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to interact with employees and families.
• Experience delivering presentations to groups and handling stressful situations.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian values and ministry.
• Excellent oral and written communication; maintain composure in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Makes regular visits to company worksites (usually weekly) to build relationships and trust with employees and families.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions and spiritual support across a range of personal issues.
• Plans and participates in funerals or memorial services as needed and offers grief support.
