Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking a part-time Chaplain to serve employees and their immediate families across client worksites. This remote field role involves regular visits to worksites, providing confidential pastoral care, and supporting employees in personal and family challenges.

The position emphasizes spiritual maturity, Christian values, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse groups in interfaith settings; travel to client sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with diverse groups in interfaith settings.
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills with clients and families.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian values and ministry.
• Diplomacy, patience, and courtesy in sensitive situations.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Valid state driver’s license and auto insurance where serving clients.

Responsibilities

• Visit company worksites regularly to build relationships and provide pastoral care.
• Offer confidential discussions on personal issues and connect employees with additional resources.
• Support in planning or attending funerals and providing post-termination care as needed.
• Notify families of deaths or serious injuries and provide compassionate support.
• Assist in orientation about Employee Care Services and Chaplain team roles.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate with clients under the guidance of leadership.
