Job summary

MCHAP is seeking chaplains to support employees and their families remotely across client sites in the United States. You will visit worksites weekly when possible and provide spiritual care, counseling, and crisis support aligned with our Christian ministry values.

The role demands strong listening, compassion, confidentiality, and the ability to navigate interfaith contexts. A valid driver’s license is required where servicing clients; a pre-employment background check applies.

Qualifications

• Spiritual maturity and Christian lifestyle required, with biblically-based church involvement.
• Ability to work in an interfaith setting and with diverse groups.
• Excellent oral and written communication, confidentiality and diplomacy.
• Strong problem-solving and listening skills under stress.
• Document interactions accurately and maintain records per standards.
• Active driver's license and insurance where servicing clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as messenger of faith, mission, and purpose within client companies.
• Visit worksites weekly to build relationships and provide pastoral care.
• Offer confidential pastoral discussions on personal or family issues.
• Provide grief support, funeral planning assistance, and referrals.
• Coordinate with executives to address employee life issues and transitions.
• Deliver informational literature and ministry resources as requested.
• Participate in new employee orientation to explain chaplain services and roles.
