Hidden Jobs in Italy is seeking a Software Support Engineer to help install, integrate, and maintain software and automation systems tied to in vitro diagnostic instruments. The role is fully remote within Italy with occasional field travel to customer sites and labs.

You will provide remote and on-site support, train customers, and ensure reliable data exchange with Laboratory Information Systems, while upholding quality and regulatory standards for medical devices.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical support for software and automation in medical/diagnostic contexts.
• Knowledge of software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Understanding of LIS, instrument interfacing, and data protocols.
• Familiarity with networks, operating systems, databases, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver remote and on-site support for software, automation, and diagnostic systems at customer sites and internal labs.
• Install, configure, test, and commission software solutions and automation platforms.
• Integrate diagnostic instruments with LIS to ensure data exchange.
• Assist with instrument validation, qualification, and go-live activities.
• Train customers on installed software and workflows.
• Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturers to resolve issues.
