United Automobile Insurance Company is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser in the Atlanta area. The ideal candidate will inspect damages, prepare detailed repair estimates, and determine loss thresholds while ensuring compliant, timely settlements.

Remote work options are available within the Metro Atlanta counties. Applicants should have 2+ years in property or auto damage appraisal, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with major estimating software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property or auto damage appraisal in a P&C setting.
• Presentable, reliable vehicle for daily field work; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (or ability to obtain within 60 days) preferred.
• Proficient with estimating software (CCC One, Audatex, Xactimate, Mitchell).
• Strong knowledge of Texas insurance and repair laws.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
• Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and appraise damaged property (auto/home) in person or virtually.
• Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software.
• Determine repair versus total loss thresholds and recommend next steps.
• Review photos, videos, and documentation from claimants, repair shops, or adjusters.
• Collaborate with adjusters, repair facilities, and policyholders to verify losses.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, company guidelines, and ethics.
• Maintain accurate records for claims handling.
• Stay up to date on applicable repair laws and pricing.
