United Auto Insurance Agency, Inc. is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to join our Atlanta area team. The role involves inspecting and appraising auto damages and supporting timely settlements, with option for remote work within the Metro Atlanta area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in property or auto damage appraisal.
• Valid drivers license and travel within territory.
• Florida All-Lines Adjuster License preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Proficient estimating software: CCC One, Audatex, Xactimate.
• Strong knowledge of Texas insurance and repair laws.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience with claims management software and MS Office.

We have a great opportunity for a Field Auto Appraiser in the Atlanta Georgia, area. Preferred candidate is in the Metro Atlanta area (Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, DeKalb, Clayton, Henry counties).

SCOPE

The Appraiser assesses damages to property (primarily auto) and ensures fair, accurate, and timely claim settlements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Georgia-specific regulations and repair practices in the P&C space.

This position is also offered in a remote work arrangement, allowing the ideal candidate to work from their preferred location within the Metro Atlanta area (Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, DeKalb, Clayton, Henry counties).

DUTIES

• Inspect and appraise damaged property (auto or home), either in-person or virtually, depending on assignment
• Prepare detailed, itemized repair estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., Audatex/Qapter, CCC One, Xactimate, Mitchell)
• Determine repair versus total loss thresholds and recommend next steps
• Review photos, videos, and documentation submitted by claimants, repair shops, or adjusters
• Collaborate with adjusters, repair facilities, and policyholders to verify losses and resolve disputes
• Ensure compliance with all state regulations, company guidelines, and ethical standards
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for claims handling
• Stay up to date on Texasrepair laws, materials pricing, and appraisal practices

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of experience in property or auto damage appraisal, preferably in a P&C insurance setting
• Presentable and reliable vehicle suitable for daily field work (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (or ability to obtain within 60 days) preferred
• Proficient with estimating software such as CCC One, Audatex, Xactimate, or similar
• Strong knowledge of Texasinsurance and repair laws
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
