Sedgwick is hiring a Field Auto Appraiser - Catastrophic Loss to inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in losses. This role may involve CAT deployments and travel to various field locations, with a focus on timely, accurate appraisals and cost estimates.

Responsibilities include using estimatics software to determine repairability, managing daily appraisal volume, and collaborating with repair facilities to finalize estimates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; licenses as required by state guidelines.
• Two years of related experience, including at least one year of appraisal.
• Strong knowledge of automobiles and ability to use appraisal software.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization.
• Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimatics software.
• Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field.
• Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
• Works directly with auto repair facilities to determine supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.
