Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser - Catastrophic Loss to inspect and appraise auto vehicles in the field across multiple markets, including Cedar Rapids, IA; Minneapolis, MN; St. Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO.

You will prepare estimates, evaluate repair vs. salvage, and work with auto repair facilities to provide supplemental estimates. CAT deployment may require extensive travel and extended hours, with daily home territory management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licenses as required by state guidelines.
• Two (2) years of related experience to include at least one (1) year of appraisal experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization.
• Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimatics software.
• Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field.
• Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
• Works directly with auto repair facilities to determinate supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.
