Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser - Catastrophic Loss to inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss. This full-time US telecommuter role supports CAT deployments and travels to inspection locations.

Candidates should have at least two years of appraisal experience, strong knowledge of automobiles and appraisal software, and the ability to manage daily appraisal volume in a home territory. Sedgwick offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licenses as required by state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization.
• Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimatics software.
• Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field.
• Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
• Works directly with auto repair facilities to determinate supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.
