Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Field Auto Appraiser - Catastrophic Loss to inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss. This US telecommuter role requires travel to inspection locations and the use of estimatics software for estimating costs.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of related appraisal experience (1 year in appraisal) and a high school diploma or GED, with state licenses as required. Sedgwick offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for CAT deployment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licenses as required by state guidelines.
• Two (2) years of related experience, including at least one (1) year of appraisal experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization.
• Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimatics software.
• Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field.
• Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
• Works directly with auto repair facilities to determine supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.
