Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser - Catastrophic Loss to inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss. This role involves travel to inspection sites and delivering accurate repair cost estimates using estimatics software.

The position emphasizes catastrophe deployment and managing daily appraisal volume within the home territory, with possible assignments across multiple markets in the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licenses as required by state guidelines.
• Two (2) years of related experience including at least one (1) year of appraisal experience or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Appraises and determines costs of repairs in the field; decides repair vs. replace and parts utilization.
• Evaluates if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable using estimatics software.
• Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles.
• Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
• Coordinates with auto repair facilities for supplemental repair processing and estimates.
