Job summary

nVent is seeking a technically minded lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering on Data Center solutions. You will serve as a domain authority, craft quotes, and guide product improvements, while training customers and distributors on quoting tools.

Remote in Central US with travel across the US and Latin America, requiring English and Spanish as valuable assets and a strong customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering or equivalent work experience in Data Center infrastructure, design, and construction space.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical applications role supporting Data Center product solutions.
• Strong background in Power and Air and Liquid-Cooling Solutions for Data Centers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a domain authority for nVent Data Center Solutions products across Sales, Product Management, and Operations.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues using nVent Data Solutions and Electrical Connections.
• Evaluate RFQs and build costing/quotes with technical and commercial content.
• Provide technical application assistance to identify modified products based on customer specs.
• Prepare and submit quotations & proposals of non-standard products using CPQ and ERP systems.
• Conduct product training for customers and distributors on quoting tools.
• Prepare compliance documents against customer specifications.
• Lead strategic projects for product improvements and new development.
• Review training literature for technical accuracy (installation guides, procedures, manuals).
• Represent nVent in industry codes and standards committees.
• Provide market intelligence and VOC feedback to commercial teams; support sales visits.
• Plan activities with the Sales Leader; identify closing-phase projects and provide technical support.
• Advise manager on significant developments and upcoming decisions.
