Job summary

nVent is seeking a key technical lead to partner with customers, sales and engineering for Data Center Solutions. You will operate as a domain authority across centralized US and Latin America, provide first-line product support, and help create costed quotes for non-standard products using CPQ/ERP tools.

You will train customers and distributors, prepare compliance documents, and drive strategic product improvements while collaborating with sales leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering; or equivalent work experience.
• English and Spanish language proficiency preferred.
• 5+ years in a technical applications role for data center product solutions.
• Strong background in Power and Air and Liquid-Cooling in data centers.
• Understanding of data center power and cooling architecture from UPS to rack.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-focused communication.
• Willingness to work 100% remotely in central US with travel ~30%

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain authority for nVent Data Center Solutions products across Sales, Product Management and Operations.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues.
• Evaluate RFQs and build costing/quotes with technical and commercial content.
• Provide technical application assistance for modified/engineered products.
• Prepare and submit quotations and proposals for non-standard products using CPQ/ERP.
• Conduct product training for customers and distributors on quoting tools.
• Prepare compliance documents against customer specifications.
• Lead strategic projects for product improvements, cost reduction, and new development.
• Review training literature for technical accuracy and installation guides.
• Represent nVent in industry codes and standards committees.
• Provide market intelligence to commercial teams and support VOC visits.
• Plan activities with the Sales Leader and support closing-phase opportunities.
