Job summary

Soitec, a world leader in engineered substrates for the semiconductor industry, seeks a Field Application Engineer to serve as the primary technical liaison for US customers. This remote-based role involves cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Production, and Quality teams, delivering technical demonstrations, training, and driving product adoption across Soitec’s substrate portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years in semiconductor FAE or customer support, strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a materials/engineering field.
• 4–6 years in semiconductor field applications or customer support management.
• Deep knowledge of silicon/semiconductors, wafer processing, testing or characterization techniques.
• Experience with statistical quality tools (SPC, Cpk, 8D).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present to diverse audiences.
• Able to work remotely from home and travel regularly (10–20%).

Responsibilities

• Primary technical liaison for US customers.
• Provide technical leadership and product expertise on Soitec substrates.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Quality on new techniques and qualifications.
• Coordinate engineering development samples and qualification of new parts.
• Investigate and analyze product quality and process data (SPC/Cpk).
