Job summary

Soitec, the world leader in engineered substrates for the semiconductor industry, seeks a Field Application Engineer to be the main technical liaison for US customers. You will own technical engagements, deliver demos, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive product adoption across analog, mixed-signal, power, and RF devices.

The role requires 4–6 years in semiconductor support/FAE, strong communication, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 4–6 years in customer support management or Field Application Engineering in semiconductors.
• Deep knowledge of silicon/semiconductors, wafer processing, testing, and characterization.
• Knowledge of material characterization methods (SEM, SIMS, GOI, XRT, C-V, SRP, TEM).
• Expertise in statistics for process, product and quality control (SPC, Cpk, 8D).
• Strong verbal/written communication; autonomous, travel-ready.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for US customers; own technical engagement.
• Present technical demos, provide training, and communicate value of Soitec products.
• Coordinate technical services with Sales, Production, and Quality teams.
• Coordinate engineering development samples and part qualifications.
• Investigate complaints, assess risk, and analyze process data (SPC/Cpk).
• Travel 10–20% for customer engagements and face-to-face reviews.
