Job summary

Applied Materials is looking for TSE Engineers to provide technical support remotely and on site to FSO personnel for highly complex problems involving equipment malfunction, wafer issues, and performance enhancement programs. The role uses advanced troubleshooting methods to establish success criteria and action plans.

Location includes Home/Mobile sites with travel up to 50%. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least 5 years semiconductor fab experience, plus familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in a technical field.
• Robotics, electro-mechanical, controllers, vacuum assemblies, micro-contamination.
• Troubleshooting log analysis experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• English language proficiency (written and verbal).
• Minimum 5 years of semiconductor fab experience with Applied Materials interfaces.
• Shift: Day; Travel: ~25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple technical escalations with focus on time to resolution and quality.
• Attend customer field-issue meetings with FSO and BU engineers.
• Recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
• Publish technical lessons learned and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide on-site coaching to FSO personnel.
• Support Alpha and Beta Site operations.
• Support early NPI development at key customer sites.
• Support DFx projects and create advanced troubleshooting tools.
